Abstract

Cleaning Service and Housekeeping staff are responsible for keeping the building in a clean and orderly condition through activities such as cleaning toilets, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, wiping walls and windows, and taking out trash. Housekeeping jobs involve repetitive movements and awkward postures that cause uncomfortable ergonomic situations and can contribute to musculoskeletal disorders. The incidence of knee injuries occurs around 48 per 1000 patients in Indonesia, and 9% of these injuries are anterior cruciate ligament injuries. Therefore, there is a need for clinical education efforts that focus on knee conditions in order to increase public understanding and awareness of the risks associated with knee injuries & knee disorders, such as osteoarthritis. With reference to this, the implementation of this service is the first step in clinical examination of the knee as part of the promotional and preventive stages for dealing with complaints related to the knee, such as knee osteoarthritis.
